Barking Irons T-Shirts
November 21, 2006
A freight train that used to run along Manhattan’s 10th Avenue during the late 19th and early 20th century is infamous for causing the deaths of hundreds of innocent Victorians in traffic accidents, causing the street to be nicknamed Death Avenue. Men on horseback, known as the Westside Cowboys, were hired to control pedestrian traffic and help avert pedestrian accidents. This train and its surrounding history is the inspiration for Barking Irons’ newest graphic tees—The Death Avenue tee and the Westside Cowboy tee. www.barkingirons.com
