BEAUTIFUL/DECAY Releases Four New Artist Series Apparel Designs
Jan Kallwejt’s “Lung Music” shirt features a musical take on the human internal organ system. Kallwejt’s work often features simple shapes, symbolic forms and clean, plain colors. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Kallwejt currently works with 4RK Unstable Media. All desing are available through the Beautiful/Decay Store Artist and designer Joshua Prince a.k.a Dust La Rock’s design “Silent Weapon for Quiet Wars” features a masked figure riding a fantastical, hyper-colored horse. His work has been described as “heady” with surreal, psychedelic and anti-social tendencies. Dust La Rock currently works from his Brooklyn based studio.
Artist Aaron Noble fashions a strikingly bold “Caliph” design that could be a comic book superhero’s hallucinatory nightmare. Noble is a west coast muralist and co-founder and director of the Seminal Clarion Alley Mural Project in San Francisco.
Jesse LeDoux creates a cosmically inspired “Giant Hand” design which transforms from teal to pink with a universe of white line drawings enclosed within. He combines his avant-garde design sensibility with basic drawing materials—“pens, pencils and a few sheets of paper.” Jesse LeDoux worked for over seven years as an art director and designer for Sub Pop Records, creating iconic album artwork for artists such as The Shins, Iron and Wine and Hot Hot Heat. In 2004 he launched his own illustration/design firm LeDouxville and currently works out of his studio in Providence, RI
